ZPB appoints Chair to drive further growth in health and care

Healthcare insight and communications consultancy, ZPB Associates, has appointed former Added Value CEO Janine Hawkins as Interim Chairman.

Hawkins was previously Global CEO at Added Value, WPP’s strategic marketing and insight consultancy, and a member of the Kantar Board, their research, data and insight consultancy network.

The appointment comes off the back of ZPB’s seventh year of consecutive growth in the UK health and care space.  Hawkins, a board advisor at ZPB since 2016, will help the business build a clear growth and development plan as it continues to broaden its reach into the UK health market.

Janine said: “This is an exciting time to help the business map out and then deliver its growth strategy. The team here specialise in advising, positioning and steering organisations through health and care systems and there is still so much potential in ZPB’s proposition. As health and care systems – including the NHS – continually evolve, the insight ZPB provides and the role it plays in building evidence bases and connections where the NHS and independent sector can have productive partnerships is invaluable.”

Zoe Bedford will continue to lead ZPB, with Alex Kafetz as Managing Director. The business recently appointed Trudie McNicholl as CFO, who has joined from creative agencies including Droga 5 and Sapient Nitro.  ZPB’s original advisors and board members Pam Garside and Jake Arnold-Forster will also take on more involved board roles in shaping the business.

ZPB CEO, Zoe Bedford said:  “Janine is an exciting appointment for ZPB and the continued commitment of our original board members really signals our intention to develop and grow the business.  We have shown consistent growth in our key markets over the last seven years, working with top-flight organisations such as HCA, Healthcare at Home, Allocate and The Huntercombe Group, as well as public bodies such as NHS England and the Office for Statistics Regulation.

We are also starting to work with new customer groups such as pharma whilst strengthening our offer in digital and data strategy, market insight and stakeholder engagement.  Having a strong board and Chair will be invaluable in helping us develop our proposition and maintain our high standards.”
