Marketing Account Manager

The Account Manager role at ZPB is a fundamental part of the team. As well as supporting senior team members you will be given the autonomy to run your own accounts adding value to clients and our business every step of the way. A good mix of creative design through to involvement in strategic development keeps the job interesting and ensuring you continue to build and grow.

Marketing skills

  • Undertaking primary research to support the development of brand positioning and strategies, identifying target audiences and developing key messages
  • Develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging client support and driving collaboration
  • Creating, maintaining, and conducting analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extracting key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Design and develop email and social campaigns monitoring performance to design, test and evolve lead generation tactics
  • Working in partnership with the creative colleagues, develop briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for advertising and public-­facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Conceptualise and execute multi-channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimise accordingly
  • Establishes marketing goals based on past performance and market forecasts
  • Oversee the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects
  • Manage relationships with media buyers, printers, digital and web and other services
  • Adjusts marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback

Account management responsibilities:

Planning and delivery

  • Create client proposals and co-present new business pitches where appropriate
  • Fully manage and deliver integrated campaigns for multiple clients
  • Develop work schedules and cost estimates
  • Write creative, studio and technical briefs
  • Project manage; schedule and budget time, personnel and resource to ensure delivery is to time, budget and specification
  • Regularly review project or contract performance against KPIs and report back to client
  • Reinforce client relationships through social engagements and entertainment

Commercial responsibilities

  • Work collectively with the team to deliver financial targets and excellent client service
  • Deliver contract details through knowledge and understanding of client’s business objectives
  • Maintain client contracts, SLAs and create project documentation
  • Be responsible for the overall profitability of a client contract or project by managing projects and other team members to track time, costs and financial targets
  • Know the products and services and client business trends to deliver ambitious ’on-brief’ solutions
  • Design and deliver client presentations and proposals
  • Highlight resource requirements, recruiting contractors and freelancers where appropriate

Strategic focus

  • Help to develop client strategy in line with the overarching contract objectives while demonstrating creativity, innovation, and big ideas
  • Develop new and improved core products and services in looking for new revenue streams
  • Know internal and external factors affecting the client and the company
  • Constantly keep up to date with products and services, industry innovation and thinking, KOLs, stakeholders, media owners/journalists and apply knowledge to support team and clients

Client relationship

  • Report back internally and externally against client KPIs and conduct regular account reviews
  • Manage the client relationship to ensure clear, realistic goals and objectives are set by the client and met by the company
  • Embed yourself and your team within the client’s team through excellent client relations
