Imaan is an account director for ZPB and brings eight years of experience in delivering communications programmes for pharmaceutical clients in a wide range of therapy areas, including hepatology, respiratory, cardiovascular and mental health.
Prior to ZPB, Imaan worked at a health and wellness consultancy where she provided support and strategic direction for clients’ PR requirements working on global and UK centric campaigns covering product communications, corporate communications, disease awareness and media liaison. She recently worked in rare diseases providing crisis management support in pricing/access barriers for an orphan drug whilst also helping the team to navigate the complex patient advocacy relations and stakeholder engagement required for the launch of a new gene therapy.
Imaan graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Human Sciences, specialising in anatomy and neurosciences, and has an MSc in Health Promotion, both from King’s College London. In 2016, her individual proposal was shortlisted for a Cannes Young Lions Health Award for UNICEF. She is passionate about improving women’s health, specifically issues that affect women of colour, and tackling period poverty. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, reading and trying out new food spots in London.
