Paul advises our technology and services clients in how to partner with NHS organisations, how to develop and transfer services into primary care and offers insights into emerging models of care including primary care networks.
Paul is an independent management consultant with fifteen years’ experience of working in the NHS, the majority of which was at board level across primary care, community services, acute hospitals and social care. Currently, Paul is working as a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Co as well as advising a number of clients, for ZPB and independently, working in both the public and private healthcare markets as well as digital healthcare businesses.
Paul’s last role in the NHS was as Chief Executive of Yeovil District Hospital in Somerset where he established the Symphony Programme designed to integrate care across primary care, the acute hospital and community services. As part of this, Paul successfully formed a number of innovative partnerships with private sector offline, and online, care providers. The work to improve primary care as part of the Symphony Programme was recognised with the team winning the 2018 BMJ Award for Primary Care and Paul was regularly in the annual HSJ Top 50 Chief Executives listings.
Paul’s expertise in integration and new care models has led to him speaking at a number of national and international conferences and he has a wide and varied network of contacts across the healthcare sector including national policymakers, technology start-ups, private healthcare providers and infrastructure partners.
