Today we’re introducing Rosie one of our account managers who started with us an intern way back in 2019 after finishing her medical microbiology degree at Bristol. A passionate Devonian living in South London Rosie is also our resident marketing whizz supporting our pharma and life sciences colleagues to communicate their value and impact. In her spare time she is also the linchpin of the Digital Healthcare Council making sure the potential of health tech is front of mind of system leaders and policy makers.
As we step into Freedom Day and beyond we decided to ask Rosie a few questions about what the future holds and her role at ZPB.
What’s the most interesting part of your job?
At ZPB it’s our job to help our clients navigate the NHS and wider health system, and I love the continuous challenge that that sets us. The world of healthcare is always changing (and even more so now!) so there’s always going to be more to learn and more problems to unravel.
What has been the biggest client challenge you’ve faced over the last 12 months?
Taking each of our councils and boards online! All the advisory boards and member organisations that we run were originally set-up to run in an entirely in-person environment, but the pandemic has totally changed that. We’ve had to adapt our programmes to ensure that our members remain just as engaged and our clients get access to the same level of insight as before.
Thinking about things ‘getting back to normal’ what are you most looking forward to for your clients?
I can’t wait to be able to meet our clients face-to-face and make plans for conferences, meetings and dinners without the risk of cancellation. Although everyone has managed to adapt to the new virtual world, Microsoft Teams will never be able to replace the energy and atmosphere of live events!
What do you think makes ZPB a unique place to work?
You get exposure to so many different aspects of healthcare, and the opportunity to focus what you’re really interested in. It’s true that you create the best work when you feel really passionately about it, and the breadth of opportunities at ZPB means there’s likely to be something for you!
What would you say to someone thinking of joining ZPB?
Working at ZPB gives you a totally unique view of the UK health system. If you’re endlessly curious and want to get a real understanding of how the NHS and wider system work, this is the place for you.
What are you most looking forward to for the rest of 2021?
Getting back together with the rest of the team and being able to celebrate our achievements in-person!
