Meet the new team members

It’s an exciting time at ZPB as we continue to grow, and we’ve recently welcomed three new members to the team. Today we are introducing Ashleigh, Alis and Helena. Ashleigh has joined as an account manager and Alis and Helena have joined as Account Executives.

What were you doing before you joined ZPB?

Ashleigh: I was previously at Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) – the UK’s national institute for health data science. Before that, I was a contract Communications Officer at The Lancet medical journal and before that, Media and Communications Manager at Central and Cecil Housing Trust (C&C). Prior to moving to the UK, I worked as a contract Communications Advisor within multiple cross-industry roles, and my first marketing role was as well as an intern Marketing Assistant within the energy sector. Alis: After graduating I worked as a therapy assistant on an inpatient personality disorder unit and a stroke rehabilitation ward.

Helena: I worked in mental health and dementia research in the NHS after graduating. It was rewarding to help patients enrol into a variety of research studies and contribute to new advances in mental health care.

What made you want to work at ZPB?

Ashleigh: The opportunity to work for an agency where I could use my marketing and communications skills to help people and make a difference. I was also attracted by ZPB not only for the industries that we provide marketing and communications services for, but also because it’s a small agency with a personalised touch and a friendly team.

Alis: I was attracted to the fact that ZPB has a small team and such varied clients, I could see it was a place where you could really learn and grow.

Helena: I like how ZPB work with a range of clients spanning pharmaceuticals, service providers and health technology companies. It is great that ZPB are experts in insights and analytics, marketing and communications and creative services- this will enable me to build skills in all these areas.

What interests you about healthcare?

Ashleigh: Everything – healthcare is simply one of the fundamental necessities required to keeping communities healthy and alive. Anytime new evidence, technologies or treatments that could improve lives are released, I’m engaged.

Alis: I am interested in healthcare because it impacts everyone and it’s such a broad and varied industry.

Helena: I am passionate about making knowledge about healthcare and science accessible to all. By learning more about our health we are empowered to use this information to make the best decisions.

How are you finding working ZPB?

Ashleigh: I am thoroughly enjoying my time at ZPB Associates – no one day is the same and there’s always something to new learn.

Alis: I’m really enjoying it – it’s fast-paced and challenging and you get to work with really interesting clients.

Helena: It is great. I feel so welcome and supported. I have been able to get stuck in quickly and I really enjoy the work I’ve been doing so far.

What are you most looking forward to for the year ahead?

Ashleigh: Continuing to grow my skills, learn, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve great things for our clients.

Alis: I’m looking forward to really getting to understand the UK healthcare landscape, and helping businesses to develop and grow using this knowledge.

Helena: After work drinks in the sun!
