ZPB is returning to the office after an immersive experience at Healthcare Innovation Expo 2013.
We particularly enjoyed the ‘Apps Library’, showcasing the latest technology devices complete with self-monitoring patient apps, as well as Ruth Poole’s seminar (Healthcare at Home), which explored how a relentless focus on the patients’ needs, combined with tenacious and courageous leadership, would create health services to be proud of.
On Wednesday evening the healthcare conversation continued late into the evening with another successful gathering of the Cambridge Health Network, organised by ZPB. The evening was centred around how to build better partnerships, explored by keynote speakers Sir Ian Carruthers (CEO, NHS South of England), Simon Scrivens (MD, Sodexo Healthcare) and Nina Nashif (MD, Healthbox). Together they discussed the need for a less risk-adverse attitude towards partnership and the importance of bigger providers nurturing smaller entrepreneurial services. The event brought together every element of the sector, including start-ups, SMEs and AHSNs, NHS, public sector and private providers.
