Today the Royal College of Physicians released a report titled: ‘National Early Warning Score (NEWS) – Standardising the assessment of acute-illness severity in the NHS’.
The report suggests compiling the different types of NHS charts into a single chart, which would be used to monitor patient’s vital signs. The impact of this would be a reduction in the miscalculation of patients’ conditions, whilst easing the transition of doctors and nurses to new hospitals.
