Rita Martins

Rita is a Director at ZPB, where she advises pharmaceutical companies on integrated communications programmes that are strategically aligned, evidence‑based and creatively driven to achieve clear business, behaviour change and policy outcomes. Rita is passionate about supporting the industry to communicate the positive contribution it makes to patients, carers and the wider healthcare system.
With over 20 years’ experience in healthcare communications consultancies, Rita has extensive expertise advising pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations on complex UK and European external communications across both prescription and OTC medicines. Her experience spans multiple therapy areas, including oncology, ophthalmology, rare diseases and respiratory disease.
Throughout her career, Rita has worked with a broad portfolio of leading pharmaceutical companies, including J&J IM, Chiesi, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Roche, GSK, Novartis and Gilead. She brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement, corporate, franchise and brand communications, disease awareness, media relations, reputation management, thought leadership and patient advocacy.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her boys, listening to music and keeping active.
