Meet Tiya and Kirstie, our newest team members

This month we have welcomed Tiya and Kirstie to the ZPB team!

Tiya joins ZPB as an Account Executive and Kirstie joins ZPB as a Senior Account Manager. They will play a key role in supporting the team across a number of our marketing and communications projects.

We sat down with Tiya and Kirstie to learn more about their backgrounds and ambitions for the upcoming year:

What were you doing before you joined ZPB?

Kirstie: Before joining ZPB I had been working as an Account Manager on B2B Accounts in various different sectors including tech, travel, property, beverages, energy & natural resources. I have worked mainly on sustainability, sales enablement, brand architecture, brand positioning and LinkedIn lead gen campaigns.

Tiya: I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 and went straight into the working world. I worked for Healthwatch where I did lots of patient engagement projects and then transitioned into client services. And, here I am now!

What made you want to work at ZPB?

Tiya: I've always had an interest in healthcare and wanted to work for a company that focuses on this, whilst also being very creative and that’s exactly what ZPB does. I followed the company for a while and love how it is a smaller agency with a tight knit team - I think this is the best environment for me to grow in.

Kirstie: I went to Kenya back in October 2023 as a volunteer for Save the Rhino to get content for their future campaigns. While I was out there I participated in the first ever IVF procedure done on a rhino in an effort to save the Northern White rhino from extinction. It was here I had a breakthrough and realised that whilst I love the marketing industry and the power of communication, I want to use those skills towards things that really matter like people and healthcare. ZPB is not only a healthcare communications agency but it is so diverse in its offering and expertise that I was excited by the growth, challenge and how it contributes to society.

What interests you about healthcare?

Kirstie: I am someone who gets immense satisfaction from helping people, in fact it is one of the reasons I went into client services in the first place. I liked the idea of dealing with people and helping them achieve their personal and business goals. With healthcare not only are you interacting with the client but also getting patient engagement for physical and mental health and consulting with key leaders in the medical field.

Tiya: I am fascinated by the impact people and their surroundings have on health outcomes. I think healthcare is an ongoing interaction between a person’s decisions and the word we live in and let’s face it... healthcare isn't going anywhere - it’s always adapting to suit our needs, making it a crucial part of our lives indefinitely.

How are you finding working at ZPB?

Tiya: Even though it’s only been a month, ZPB has pulled me out of my comfort zone and has already taught me loads of different skills. Everyone has been super friendly and welcoming, the projects are interesting and I can’t wait to continue to learn more and become a bigger part of the team.

Kirstie: In my short amount of time I already feel part of the close knit team. Everyone is passionate, professional and most importantly kind. I can see ZPB is a really unique place to work. It is the only place where as a client manager I am encouraged to take a hands on approach to the output and quality of the work not just with the timing and delivery.

What are you most looking forward to for the year ahead?

Kirstie: On a personal level I am excited to work on some ground-breaking campaigns and helping my clients grow their brand awareness and reach. On a larger scale I think 2024 is going to be an interesting time for Healthcare and the NHS and with the elections looming I will be interested to see how the NHS struggle is approached and how we re-evaluate our healthcare system in the UK.

Tiya: Developing a greater understanding of the healthcare space as well as becoming more of an asset and contributor to the ZPB team overall.
